A local Quaker church, located on the main highway through town, is usually just “there” — not hard to miss. A few days ago, however, a thousand little white crosses sprouted on their front lawn. This really draws your attention as you drive by. Their sign simply reads: “A thousand Americans were killed today.” It’s a statement about the culture of death in our society, of which legalized abortion is a cornerstone.
