Adobe to buy Macromedia

MacMerc.com: Adobe to buy Macromedia!

This is big news, via MacMerc. These are two companies whose software I use a LOT. I think their products are very good in general. I hope this merger represents good news for consumers.

Both companies have good products, many of them are competing. For example, Dreamweaver directly competes with Adobe’s GoLive. So, I’m not sure if this merger will be good for people needing media creation software.
