Hey Steve!

Color me shocked over all of the footbball you've been watching. This is a day I thought would never come about. ;>)

I'm glad you're getting some time to enjoy the games, especially Keegan's games.

Really hope Michele is doing better and the frailness she felt was only a temporary thing. I'm so sorry to have missed both Michele's and Brinley's birthdays. They were in my thoughts but I was just caught up in something else.

Love each of you much more than I can ever express! Take care!

Love,
Debbie

Steve, I really appreciate your thoughts here. They really capture what I have been thinking recently, too. You were right - I wasn't given any warnings about my behavior, though my boss did mention that I had been exhibiting poor performance for a while now. However, I know they had no idea about my blog until about a week ago, when I noticed a definite change in their attitude toward me. It reminded me a lot of the reactions to Christ on Palm Sunday and then just a few days later on Good Friday.

It really galls me that so many corporations think they can truly control every aspect of what their employees do during a work day...

Me too. I've recently been struggling a lot with people who make decisions due to their desire to control. My former company had a high turnover, and I don't know why they couldn't see that their desire to control was affecting their employees negatively.

By the way, I know I was totally in the wrong for my internet usage - it was too much, and I definitely wasted a lot of company time. I just wish it hadn't been so sudden, since I had been such a valued and openly praised employee for so many years.
