Dear Facebook: I quit

Recently I decided to quit Facebook. I know this means I will miss a lot of information and updates by friends, but oh well. The reasons for quitting are a bit complicated but what it boils down to is the fact that Facebook isn’t really that valuable to me. It’s not worth spending time on. And I know I’m not the only one who thinks so. Other people have quit, too.

Basically if you care to “follow” me or want to know what’s going on in my life, from now on you’ll need to check in here, and only here.

4th of July

This year for the 4th of July, we decided to visit Old World Wisconsin.  I hadn’t been there since the late ’70s/early ’80s and was eager to see it again.  Although it was challenging to get there due to various road construction projects and consequent detours, we eventually made it.  The kids loved it.  Below are photos from that visit.

In addition to visiting Old World Wisconsin, we also decided to spend some time finding a few geocaches on the way home.  Although they ended up with lots of mosquito bites (especially Brinley), the kids really enjoyed this game and want to do it more.
